STEW Magazine
STEW Magazine was a project by the juniors and seniors at the Secondary School for Journalism in Park Slope. Student writing about our city, at its most painful and most glorious.
ISSUE 1 - BROOKLYN: Read about life as it's lived by students at some of the city's failing schools, or follow them as they flip through the aisles of vinyl at a classic Midwood record store.
ISSUE 2 - SPORTS: Explore "Pupusas with a Side of Soccer", an exploration of the food culture at Red Hook's famous ball fields, or read about the unexpected problems posed by new parks.
ISSUE 3 - MUSIC: We've got pieces on bachata, reggaeton, or if things get really hairy, Auto-tune.
Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit 826NYC, a nonprofit organization encouraging the exploration of endless possibilities through the power of writing.
